CALEDONIAN TOUR (7 nights)
Deluxe Scottish Golf Tour

Day 1 — Arrive in Glasgow and begin your dream vacation! As you head out for Turnberry you will have your first glimpse of the peaceful countryside.

Settle into your new home, the deluxe Turnberry Hotel, overlooking the sea AND the golf challenge you have been waiting for – the famous ‘Ailsa Course’.

Day 2 — Today test your skills on the ‘Ailsa Course’ – site of many British Open tournaments. This is a tough seaside course – plenty of gorse and heather. Bring extra balls if you stray from the fairway! Turnberry’s Kintyre Course is ready to play if you are up to it!

Day 3 — Take your best shot today – the world-famous ‘Postage Stamp’ is just one of the many challenges you will face on the Royal Troon Championship Course. Follow in the steps of the world’s greatest golfers and site of many British Open tournaments. Also included in your day’s outing to Troon is a round on the Portland Course.

Day 4 — Leave this peaceful setting and travel to the Gleneagles Hotel, situated amidst the beautiful Perthshire Moors. Gleneagles is one of the premier establishments of its kind in the world.

Gleneagles has long been a ‘Mecca’ for golfers – and today you can try your luck on the ‘Kings Course’, or the newer ‘Monarchs Course’. Whichever you play will be a definite challenge.

Day 5 — Leave this beautiful setting and head for the Carnoustie GC, on the coast outside of Dundee. There you will meet one of the most rigorous tests of golf in the British Isles – not for the faint hearted!

Continue on to the best-known, best-loved and for many simply the best – St. Andrews. See the imposing structure of the ‘Royal and Ancient’ Clubhouse, very private and reeking with tradition. Settle into your deluxe hotel, the Old Course Hotel.

Day 6 — Now is your chance to play the course of courses – St. Andrews ‘Old Course’. Savor the thrill as you play on the fairways and greens of the birthplace of golf!

Day 7 — A second round at St.Andrews, this time on the ‘New Course’. Not so new – dating from 1896! Or the Jubilee Course another challenging St. Andrews course. You will find either a difficult test of golf.

Day 8 — Unfortunately it’s time to depart!

HIGHLAND FLING (3 nights)
The Scottish Highlands

Discover the breathtaking beauty of this area of Scotland.  Whether it be championship golf, or a chance to sneak a peek at “Nessie” — you will simply enjoy “getting away from it all”.

Day 1   Today drive north from Glasgow or Edinburgh through spectacular countryside to your base in the Highlands.

Note:  It is possible to fly from Glasgow or London.

Day 2   Try your luck on the Royal Dornoch GC, the third-oldest course in the world!  A challenge you’ll not soon forget!

Day 3    Today a round on the Nairn GC, rated as one of the top-40 courses in Britain.   This championship course dates back to 1887 and long been famed for the quality of its true, fast greens.

Day 4    Depart this golfer’s paradise!

 

LOTHIAN SPECIAL (3 nights)

East of Edinburgh is a golfer’s delight!  You will have the opportunity to play some excellent courses, however not toooo far from Edinburgh town for the shopping and sightseeing.

Day 1   Arrive in Edinburgh and proceed the short distance to East Lothian.

Day 2   Golf will be arranged on either the North Berwick GC, one of the most famous courses along the East Lothian Coast, or Gullane GC, a rugged course, with the first tee literally in the village — an unusual beginning!

Day 3   A second round of golf on another of the above courses.

Day 4   Depart the seaside area!

 

EDINBURGH CAPITAL (2 nights)

Edinburgh — capital of Scotland, is a city of beauty, with Edinburgh Castle grandly overlooking all — when lit at night it is something out of a fairytale!

Day 1   Arrive in Edinburgh and begin your visit to this fairytale city.  Walk the Royal Mile and visit Holyrood Palace, the premier residence in Scotland.  Don’t forget Princes Street with excellent shopping, probably the best in the country for variety.

Day 2   Today is yours — shop, sightsee or just relax.  Die-hard golfers may want to head out for East Lothian and play a round on one of the excellent courses.

Day 3   Depart this picturesque city!

ENGLAND  – Why a golf trip to England?

Simply because it seems to be one of the best-kept golfing secrets around!  Everyone has heard of the great courses north of the border.  Now is your chance to go south and experience the exciting championship courses in England.  An added bonus will be getting to some of the most picturesque areas of England — seldom visited thy the average traveler.

ENGLAND has hosted many British Open Tournaments and we feature ROYAL BRITANNIA visiting southern England with Royal St. George and BRITANNIA with the Midlands and Northwest, including the Belfry, Lytham & St. Annes, Birkdale and more.

Any tour’s highlight would include a visit to this exciting city, the LONDON EXPERIENCE!

 

ROYAL BRITANNIA TOUR (5 nights)

Day 1   Arrive on the southern coast of England where you will find the famous White Cliffs of Dover and the lovely country gardens of Kent.  Time to leisurely enjoy this picturesque area.

Day 2   Royal St. George GC was founded in 1887, by two Scotsmen!  In 1894 this was home to the first British Open ‘south of the border’.  All golfers will find battling with the elements a definite challenge on this famous links course.

Day 3    The second course to play is Royal Cinque Ports, founded in1892.  Mother Nature provides the greatest challenge at Deal, turning modest-looking holes into monsters with the strong sea winds.  Also, a past host to the
British Open.

Day 4   A break from golf.  Any pilgrimage to the area should take in Canterbury, with its interesting shops and the famous Cathedral.  You can see the north of France, take the time to ‘pop’ over and play some golf or stock up the wine cellar!

Day 5   Last, but not least, in your southern jaunt is the Princes GC.  Your game will finish off the trio of British Open courses in this end of the country.

Day 6   Time to pack your bags!

 

BRITANNIA TOUR (6 nights)
Northern England Golf Tour

Day 1   Arrive at the Belfry Hotel, a typical country manor house, ivy clad and set in the heart of its own two famous golf  courses.

Day 2   This morning tackle the Brabazon Course, home to many Ryder Cup Tournaments.  

This afternoon is free to explore the area.  Don’t miss Stratford-upon-Avon, a tourist’s delight.

Day 3   Depart this area and on your way north, why not include a stop at Chester, the only English city retaining all of its ancient city walls, a fascinating two-mile walk.  You will arrive in Southport.

Day 4   You will have the chance to play one of the three championship courses in the area — Royal Lytham & St. Annes, a championship course that was founded in 1886, hosting such major events as the British Open and Ryder Cup.

Day 5   Your second round could be on the Royal Birkdale GC founded in 1889.  Royal Birkdale has hosted the Ryder Cup; and the British Open, a definite challenge.

Day 6   Next is Southport GC, another prestigious club that has hosted the Ryder Cup.  A truly formidable test!

Day 7   Time to pickup!

Other excellent courses available for play are Royal Liverpool (Hoylake) and Formby GC.

 

LONDON EXPERIENCE (2 nights)

Day 1   Arrive in London, the capital city of England and governing seat of the British Isles.  This is one of the most exciting cities in the world, whatever your fancy this cosmopolitan city can easily fill the bill.

Day 2   Free day to sightsee or shop!  Golfers may want to try their hand at some challenging golf.  There are many top-notch clubs — Walton Heath, venue of the 1981 Ryder Cup; Moor Park, Sunningdale or Wentworth, home of the World Matchplay championship.

Day 3   Time to depart!
