THAILAND – A Golden Wonderland
Variety is the spice of life in Thailand – from the golden-spired temples of Bangkok to the majestic ruins of ancient capitals, from the tranquil charm of rural towns to tropical beach resorts.

 

BANGKOK (3 nights)
City of Angels

Day 1 — Arrive in Bangkok, one of the Orient’s most cosmopolitan cities.

Day 2 — Golf one of Bangkok’s many courses; the Navantanee GC, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., featuring gently rolling fairways, lots of sand traps, water and other hazards! Or the Rose Garden GC, a lush, attractive course with tight tree-lined fairways, running into difficult greens, and guarded by various bunkers.

Day 3 — Explore this exotic city; Royal Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the rural floating market where vendors ply their wares from tiny boats! A traditional Thai dinner with a classical Thai dance performance.

Day 4 — Your next leg – choose from beach to jungle and everything inbetween!

 

KANCHANABURI (3 nights)
The River Kwai

Day 1 — Drive to Kanchanaburi, stopping to visit the Chedi Temple complex, site of the birth of Buddhism in Thailand. Kanchanaburi, is famous for the “Bridge Over the River Kwai” built during WWII. Dine this evening on the floating restaurant below the infamous “Bridge”.

Day 2 — Golf today on Mission Hills GC, the popular Jack Nicklaus designed course, a really good test of your ability. There’s a lot of sand, one hole is half fairway and half bunker! Or play the River Kwai Golf & CC.

Day 3 — Golf or – an adventure? Head northward stopping for an elephant trek through the bamboo forest. On to ‘Hellfire Pass’, the most difficult section of the ‘Death Railway’, and route taken by the prisoners of war, arriving at the War Museum. A train ride back where you will cross the “Bridge”.

Day 4 — Time to depart for your next destination…

 

CHIANG MAI (4 nights)
Fabled Golden Triangle

Day 1 — Arrive in the northern city of Chiang Mai, cradle of Thai civilization. You have crisp mountain scenery, exotic hill tribes, forests worked by elephants, and colorful festivals.

Day 2 — Golf the Lanna GC with its spectacular setting at the foot of the famous Doi Suthep Mountain. The course has plenty of mature trees and hooks around some 20 lakes and water hazards – adding to the challenge!

Visit the Cottage Handicraft Villages producing lacquerware, silks, parasols, etc.

Day 3 — Depart for Chian Rai, in the very heart of the Golden Triangle famous for majestic mountains and many hill tribe villages.

Day 4 — Golf the Santiburi CC, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., a visually stunning course with lush green colors. If you play early – the morning mists are truly unforgettable. Or the Waterford Valley GC set in rolling countryside.

Day 5 — time to depart for your next adventure.

 

PHUKET (4 nights)
Pearl of the South

Day 1 — Arrive in Phuket, with its magnificent coastline, of white-sand beaches, secluded coves, and rocky headlands.

Day 2 — Golf abounds in this island paradise! Try Loch Palm GC, a mature course but hazards! Or the Phuket Golf & CC, located on a hilly and lovely part of the island near famous Patong Beach.

Day 3 — Golf Blue Canyon CC, designed by Yoshikazu Kato and Gary Player – the Canyon Course, is rated as one of the top layouts in Asia. The Lakes Course has more natural water hazards. Both a mix of rubber plantation and water filled canyons.

Day 4 — A glutton for punishment? Tackle the Andaman GC or Banyan Tree GC, both on the Andaman Sea. Want a break? Explore Phuket, take a boat excursion, or relax on the beach.

Day 5 — Time to depart for your next venue!
